Ellis Touts Sustainability in Cable Management With 57% Scope 1 and 2 Emissions Reduction

Ellis Patents, a manufacturer of cable cleats for single, multiple and trefoil applications, has announced the publication of its latest carbon footprint report – as well as an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its polymer cable cleat range.

The carbon footprint report shows a 57% reduction in scope 1 and scope 2 emissions since the company’s baseline year in 2017/18. Across the 2025/26 financial year, Ellis generated 291,490 kWh and exported 43,920 kWH renewable energy back to the National Grid. The report also found that solar power now contributes more than half of Ellis’ energy requirements.

“Although no significant new carbon reduction projects were introduced during this reporting period, the company has maintained its commitment to sustainability through the continued operation and optimisation of existing initiatives,” the report noted. “These include the use of on-site solar generation, site-wide LED lighting, the gradual electrifications of the company vehicle fleet, and ongoing energy-efficiency measures focused on manufacturing equipment and facility operations.”

The EPD publication follows Ellis’ stainless steel cable cleat EPD, meaning the company now offers verified environmental data across both its main stainless steel and polymer cable cleat ranges.

The report, valid until 2031, outlines information about the company’s product lifecycle, as well as environmental impact data. It is published in accordance with EN 15804+A2, ISO 14025 and ISO 21930 standards.
