GS Yuasa will unveil its new Traction Mind Battery Monitoring System (TM-BMS) at LogiMAT 2026, positioning the launch as a key highlight of its presence at Europe’s leading intralogistics exhibition, taking place 24–26 March 2026 at Messe Stuttgart.

The introduction of Traction Mind marks a significant step in the continued evolution of GS Yuasa’s traction battery offering, reinforcing the company’s commitment to performance, reliability and innovation within the materials handling sector.

Designed specifically for traction battery applications, the GS Yuasa Traction Mind Battery Monitoring System is a compact, battery-mounted device that provides real-time visibility of battery operation. By capturing and communicating critical operating data, the system helps protect battery performance, improve safety and extend service life across materials handling fleets.

At LogiMAT 2026, visitors will be able to see how Traction Mind delivers intelligent monitoring through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling both local mobile access and remote fleet-level visibility. The system continuously monitors voltage, temperature and battery current, allowing accurate estimation of state of charge (SoC) and providing clear insight into charge and discharge behaviour over time.

By making battery usage transparent, Traction Mind helps identify potentially damaging conditions such as deep discharging, excessive heat, missed charging cycles or poor operating habits — issues that can often go unnoticed until performance is affected.

The system also supports optional electrolyte level monitoring for flooded traction batteries, further enhancing operational visibility and helping protect battery health in demanding industrial environments.

The launch of Traction Mind complements GS Yuasa’s established traction battery range, which is built on proven 2V tubular plate technology and trusted globally across materials handling applications. Together, the batteries and monitoring system provide operators with greater control, improved transparency and enhanced long-term performance.
